2017 will mark the second year for the 8k course.

The event will be held on Sunday August 6th, 2017.

The course remains one of the Lifestages Lower Mainland Road Race Series, key for those runners looking for some late season points.

You can check out the other events in the Series through this link:

Registration for the Squamish event is NOW open.

The event will once again start and finish at Howe Sound Secondary School, on the southern end of town.

There are options for the 8k as well as the Flashback Mile, which tends to be mostly kids but all are welcome to participate.

Run course

The certified 8k run course is a flat out and back on a paved road.

The run begins on Buckley Avenue, in front of Howe Sound Secondary School.

Participants will head north on Buckley Avenue which becomes Bowen Ave and then Queens Way.

As you progress along Queens Way - passing Kal Tire on the right, then the Toyota dealership on the right/Ford dealership on the right - you approach a 'Y' intersection where you will be directed right onto Government Road.

As you approach another 'Y' intersection you will be directed left, staying on Government Road and crossing over a bridge over the Mamquam River. You will proceed straight for another few hundred metres before turning and reversing direction.

As you approach Howe Sound Secondary, with less than 200 metres to go, you will turn left for the Finish Line.
